Recently, Mainstreet Waynesboro and The Waynesboro Community Theater Project have released the list of movies that will be showing at the theater this year.
Their first showing was ‘Titanic’ on March 27th.
“We had 132 people in attendance for that showing,” said Bill Kohler, director of economic development for Mainstreet Waynesboro.
The theater will be operating over CDC and PADOH guidelines which include 50% capacity and social distancing.
Not including ‘Titanic’, the theater will be showing a total of 45 movies scheduled this year.
“We are doing special showings of classics right now to see how 2021 goes and how the future
of the theater and film go in the future.” said manager Paige Stewart.
“Hop” was shown on April 7 in preparation for Easter. Other movies set to show in the near future are as follows:

- “West Side Story” on July 14.
- “Rio Grande” on Aug. 11.
- “Rocky” on Sept. 8.
- “Psycho” on Oct. 13.
- “Mr. Smtih Goes To Washington” on Nov. 10.
Similar to the Holiday Movies in December, all admission tickets include a regular bag of popcorn and a soda.
